Technical Co-Founder — MRSH

Build the financial infrastructure for the global independent workforce.

I’m building MRSH — a platform helping freelancers and independent workers get paid, manage invoices, and run their businesses across borders.

The problem isn’t creating an invoice.

The problem is getting paid.

Freelancers deal with late payments, constant follow-ups, expensive international transfers, FX fees, and fragmented tools. MRSH is being built to bring this workflow together — invoice, collect, get paid, and manage cash flow in one place.

I’ve been building the initial product and shaping the direction of MRSH. Now I’m looking for someone who wants to join me at the beginning and help turn it into a real company.

The opportunity

I’m looking for a Technical Co-Founder to build MRSH with me from 0 → 1.

This is not a senior engineering role with a Co-Founder title.

You’ll be a genuine founding partner.

You’ll have a major role in deciding:

What we build → How we build it → Who we build for → Where the company goes

You’ll work across technology, product, customers, strategy, fundraising, and eventually the team we build.

The goal isn't simply to ship software. It’s to build the company.

What you’ll own

You’ll lead the technical side of MRSH across:

- Backend, APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure
- Payments and financial workflows
- AI-powered collections and automation
- Security, reliability and system architecture
- Product development and rapid experimentation
- Technical decisions and infrastructure partnerships
- Working directly with early customers
- Building the engineering team as MRSH grows

You won’t be working from a list of tickets.



You’ll be close to the product and customers, asking:

What should we build? Why does it matter? What should we not build?

Who I’m looking for

I care more about what you’ve built and how you think than the names on your résumé.

You should

- Have shipped real production software
- Be strong in backend engineering and system design
- Understand APIs, databases and cloud infrastructure
- Make pragmatic technical decisions without overengineering
- Care about customers and business outcomes, not just code
- Move quickly without compromising engineering quality
- Be comfortable making decisions with incomplete information
- Take ownership without needing a predefined
- Be genuinely interested in AI, fintech, payments or financial infrastructure

Startup or previous founding experience is a plus, but not required. Experience at MAANG or another strong technology company is also a plus, especially in infrastructure, AI, payments or large-scale systems.

But honestly, if you’ve built something difficult and can clearly explain what you built, why you built it that way, and what you learned, I want to hear from you.

Equity & Compensation

MRSH is currently pre-seed and equity-only.

I want to be completely transparent:

- No salary or stipend before the seed round
- Founder-level equity, mutually agreed based on experience,



commitment and responsibilities
- Founder vesting terms agreed together
- Cash compensation expected after the seed round, subject to the company’s financial position
- This is a full time Co-Founder role

If equity-only isn’t right for you right now, I completely understand. I’m looking for someone who genuinely wants to take the founder journey, not simply join an early-stage job.

Technology → Product → Customers → Business → Team The technical challenge is substantial: payments, financial workflows, AI, automation, transaction data, security, and eventually broader financial infrastructure.

Build something people need. Get it into their hands. Learn from them. Make it better.

The long-term ambition is to become the financial operating system for independent workers around the world.
