Client Relations & Sales Executive

ABOUT US
PMEX is a Kolkata freight forwarder, running since 2000. We move air and ocean shipments to 50+ countries for exporters in fashion, textiles, pharma, jewellery and engineering. We are a small team, so your work is seen and valued from the first week.
THE ROLE
You will be the first voice our clients hear. You answer their questions, prepare quotes, follow up, and keep them updated until their shipment arrives. Valuable relationships bring repeat business, and that is how you grow our sales.
This is a desk-based role at our office, working by phone, WhatsApp and email. There are no field visits.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Reply to client enquiries by phone, WhatsApp and email on the same day
- Understand what a client is shipping and prepare a clear quotation with our operations team
- Follow up on quotations and turn them into bookings
- Keep clients updated on their shipments using our live tracking system
- Stay in touch with past and current clients and help them ship with us again
- Record every conversation and enquiry in our CRM
- Work with operations and accounts so every client gets one clear answer
WHAT YOU NEED
- Clear, polite communication in English, plus Bengali or Hindi
- Comfort with phone calls, email and basic Excel or Google Sheets
- Patience, organisation and follow-through
GOOD TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED)
- Experience in customer service, telesales, front office,
banking, insurance, travel, retail, or any client-facing work
- Any exposure to logistics, exports or courier
- A graduate degree in any subject
You do not need freight experience. We train you on freight, quotations and documents in your first month. If you meet most of the points above, please apply.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Fixed day-shift hours, Monday to Saturday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm, Sundays off
- Office in South Kolkata (Purna Das Road), well connected by bus and metro

SALARY RANGE
Salary ranges from Rs. 10,000 to 15,000. Please apply accordingly.
