Role Description The Civil Design Engineer is a full time, on-site role based at Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences in Visakhapatnam. The role involves preparing and reviewing civil engineering designs and drawings for projects related to infrastructure, land development, and campus facilities. Daily responsibilities include performing engineering calculations, supporting stormwater management and roadway design work, coordinating with faculty, project teams, and external consultants, and ensuring designs comply with relevant codes and standards.

The Civil Design





Engineer will contribute to technical documentation, assist in project planning and scheduling, and support academic and research activities related to civil engineering design. The role may also involve mentoring students on design projects and participating in continuous improvement of laboratory and design practices.

Qualifications

- Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design skills for planning, analysis, and preparation of technical drawings and specifications.
- Roadway Design and Land Development skills for campus and infrastructure projects, including layout, grading, and alignment design.
- Stormwater Management skills for designing drainage systems, detention structures, and sustainable water management solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge of relevant design codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IRC, IS codes) and familiarity with permitting processes.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, or similar tools) and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary academic and project teams.
- Prior experience in academic, consulting, or infrastructure project environments is an advantage, as is interest in mentoring and research.
