Role Description This full-time Chartered Accountant role at SMARTANK is an on-site position based in Mumbai.

The Chartered

Accountant will handle end-to-end accounting, including maintenance of books of accounts, general ledger review, and monthly closing activities.

Responsibilities include preparation and analysis of financial statements, management reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses. The role will involve tax planning and compliance (direct and indirect), statutory audits coordination, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Accountant will also support budgeting, cost control initiatives, internal controls, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making for clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA), with strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and corporate laws.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, including preparation and analysis of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.
- Skills in audit and compliance, including statutory audit coordination, internal controls, and risk management.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software, advanced Excel skills, and comfort working with financial data and analytical tools.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear business terms.
- Experience in consulting, advisory, or skilled services environments is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and clients.
