Job Profile: CA : Finance & Compliance Manager (Exim Manufacturing)
Role Overview The ideal candidate will oversee the entire plant commercial operations, factory cost accounting, and strict cross-border regulatory compliances. This role bridges standard manufacturing shop-floor accounting with International Trade Laws, Foreign Exchange (FEMA) guidelines, and Customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Export-Import (EXIM) & Custom Compliances
- Duty Drawbacks & Incentives: Claiming and optimizing export benefits under India's Foreign Trade Policy, such as RoDTEP (Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products), Duty Drawback, and Advance Authorization schemes.
- Customs Valuation: Ensuring correct valuation of imported raw materials and capital machinery to prevent disputes regarding Integrated GST (IGST) and Basic Customs Duty (BCD).
- FEMA & RBI Compliance: Monitoring and regularizing IDPMS (Import Data Processing and Monitoring System) and EDPMS (Export Data Processing and Monitoring System) to ensure foreign currency realizations match banking records within statutory timelines. clearing open shipping bills within mandated
2. STATUTORY COMPLIANCES
- Ensuring timely payment of statutory dues like TDS, VAT, Service Tax, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax etc.
- RERA Quarterly returns, Registration, Alteration and all other compliances
- Direct / indirect Taxation and its timely Assessments.
- Liaison with Sales Tax / Income Tax department and Consultants
3. . Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
- Preparation of financial data / project reports for availing finance from bank /NBFC
- Cash flow & fund flow Management
- Working capital Management & renewal / enhancement.
- Liaison with Banks / Fis
- Cost Control: Analysing production costs, improving resource utilization, and setting pricing strategies.
- Budgeting and Strategy: Advising management on business expansion, capital budgeting, risk management, and investments.
- Financial Statements: Preparing accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to show a true financial picture.
- Product Costing:Calculating the exact Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) by analyzing direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overheads.
- Variance Analysis: Comparing actual production costs against standard budgets to identify overspending or inefficiencies on the factory floor.
- Price Fixing: Advising management on product pricing strategies based on break-even analysis and profit margin targets.
- Funding Procurement: Arranging working capital loans, letter of credits (LCs), or term loans from banks to maintain uninterrupted production cycles.
- Credit Cycle Management: Managing cash flow tightly by balancing payments to raw material suppliers (Accounts Payable) and collections from distributors or dealers (Accounts Receivable).
4. ACCOUNTS FUNCTIONS
- Supervision accuracy & finalization of accounts and its monthly review
- Purchase & Expenses Voucher Authorization
- Verification of all payments voucher
- Credit control
- Ledger scrutiny
- Prepare unaudited Profit & Loss & Balance Sheet on Quarterly basis.
- Verification of all payments voucher
- Imparting on the job training to sub-ordinates for their productive working
- Verification of interest statement received from Banks / Financial Institution.
- Verifying & disbursing salary, expenses & reimbursements to staff / contractors
5. Taxation & Supply Chain Logistics
- GST on Exports: Managing GST refunds on exports made under Letter of Undertaking (LUT) without payment of tax, or processing refunds for IGST paid on exports.
- Free Trade Agreements (FTAs): Utilizing Rules of Origin certificates under bilateral FTAs to reduce or eliminate import customs duties on raw materials.
- Tax Planning: Analyzing tax liabilities to minimize payments and maximize deductions legally.
- Filing Returns: Preparing and filing corporate and individual tax returns, including GST compliance.
- Auditing and Compliance : Conducting internal and external audits to verify that financial statements comply with laws and present a fair view. Acting as a financial officer to ensure corporate governance, transparency, and adherence to legal standards
? Candidate Profile & Qualifications
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) / Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) / MBA Finance.
- Experience: 4 to 8 years in a manufacturing set-up with practical exposure to international shipping logistics and customs clearing processes.
- Tech Stack: High proficiency in ERP systems like ERP Next or Tally Prime, alongside standard EXIM documentation portals like ICEGATE and DGFT.
