We are looking for an analytical, proactive intern to work closely with our founders on business strategy, market research, pricing, customer acquisition, and growth execution.

This internship offers an opportunity to work on TaxPlan as a live business case study—researching challenges, recommending practical improvements, and tracking the results of approved initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Business model: Study our marketplace model, customer needs, and consultant offering to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Pricing and service packages: Compare competitor offerings and recommend service packages and pricing options, supported by clear assumptions.
- Positioning and differentiation: Help define our target customer segments, value proposition, and reasons for customers to choose TaxPlan.
- Customer acquisition and marketing: Review the website and customer journey, identify potential conversion barriers, and propose measurable marketing experiments.
- Partnerships: Identify relevant businesses, professional networks, and organisations for potential partnerships.
- Financial analysis: Assist with basic revenue, cost, margin, and profitability analysis using information provided by the company.
- Execution and reporting: Maintain an action tracker with priorities, timelines, responsibilities, and weekly progress updates.

EXPECTED DELIVERABLES

Within the first 30 days,



with access to relevant information and founder guidance:
- An initial business and website assessment.
- A competitor comparison covering positioning, pricing, and service packages.
- A prioritised list of challenges, separating evidence from assumptions.
- Two or three practical growth experiments with suggested budgets and success measures.
- A proposed 60–90-day execution roadmap.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Preferred

- MBA/PGDM students or recent graduates specialising in Strategy, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or Finance.

Also welcome

- Candidates from Business, Economics, Commerce, or related fields with strong analytical skills and relevant project experience.

Required skills

- Structured research and problem-solving.
- Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
- Clear written communication and presentation skills.
- Basic understanding of pricing, customer acquisition, and business profitability.
- Ability to turn findings into practical recommendations and follow through on agreed tasks.

Interest in marketplaces, professional services, fintech, or taxation would be an advantage. Prior tax expertise is not mandatory.

INTERNSHIP DETAILS

- Proposed duration: 3 months.
- Work mode and hours: To be discussed during selection.
- Stipend: To be discussed based on skills and agreed scope.
- Reporting to: Founder and Director.
- Further engagement may be considered based on performance and business requirements.

SELECTION PROCESS

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a brief website-based case exercise and discuss their findings with us.

We are interested in your ability to identify problems, ask helpful questions, and explain your reasoning—not simply produce a lengthy presentation.
