Role Description The Business Development Manager – Freight Forwarding and Transportation is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This position is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and promoting the company’s freight forwarding and transportation services. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing and presenting proposals, negotiating rates and contracts, and coordinating with operations teams to ensure service quality.

The role involves market research, competitor analysis,



and participation in industry events to expand the customer base and strengthen brand presence. The manager will also maintain accurate sales reports, forecast revenue, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop tailored logistics solutions for clients.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience in business development or sales within freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics.
- Strong client relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of international shipping, import/export processes, and relevant regulations.
- Ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable growth strategies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional and global teams.
- Proficiency in standard business software tools (e.g., CRM systems, MS Office) and sales reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
