BIM Modeler – Civil / Structural

About the role

Converra Consulting and Services, Doha, is looking for an experienced Civil / Structural BIM Modeler based in India to work remotely on major Middle East projects. You will build coordinated civil and structural models from design through as-built and work closely with our team in Doha.

Key responsibilities

- Model structural elements in Revit: foundations, piles, rafts, columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, cores,

stairs and steel framing
- Model civil and infrastructure scope in Civil 3D: grading, earthworks, roads, parking, stormwater, sewer and utility corridors
- Model reinforcement and produce rebar shop drawings and bar bending schedules
- Prepare GA drawings, sections, details, setting-out and shop drawings from the model




- Run clash detection in Navisworks with MEP and architecture, and resolve clashes
- Extract quantities for concrete, rebar, formwork, steel and earthworks
- Maintain model health: shared coordinates, worksets, naming and parameters
- Follow the BEP, EIR and client standards (Ashghal, QCS, Dubai Municipality and others)
- Manage model uploads and revisions in the CDE (ACC/BIM 360, Aconex, ProjectWise)

Requirements

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
- 5–7 years in civil and structural BIM modelling, with at least 3 years on GCC projects
- Expert in Revit Structure and AutoCAD; working knowledge of Civil 3D and Navisworks
- Tekla experience is an advantage
- Understanding of RCC and steel detailing, BS / ACI / Eurocode and QCS
- Familiar with ISO 19650, LOD 300–500 and COBie
