Are you passionate about business journalism and uncovering stories that matter? Join SME Futures, part of The Guild Media Network, and help shape the future of MSME reporting.

You’ll cover emerging businesses, policies, market trends, and technology while interviewing entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders. You’ll also work across articles, videos, podcasts, and data-driven content to create stories that inform and influence India’s business ecosystem.

What You'll Do

- Tell Impactful Stories: Write long-form, insightful features on SME finance, policy changes, innovation, and tech adoption.
- Investigate & Research: Stay ahead of trends, analyse reports, and craft data-backed narratives that inform and influence.
- Interview Game Changers: Speak with SME founders, business leaders, and government officials—bringing real voices into your journalism.
- On-Ground Reporting: Visit manufacturing hubs, tech incubators, and SME clusters to experience and report stories first-hand.
- Collaborate on Digital Content: Work with our multimedia team to enhance your articles with videos, infographics, and podcasts for maximum reach.
- Be a Thought Leader: Position yourself as a credible voice in SME journalism by attending industry events, panel discussions, and networking with top business minds.

Who We’re Looking For

- A Born Storyteller:



You have a knack for crafting compelling narratives that engage, inform, and inspire.
- Business Savvy: You understand markets, policies, finance, and tech—or are eager to learn fast.
- Sharp & Analytical Mind: You love diving into data, reports, and research to extract the real story.
- A Solid Communicator: You can conduct insightful interviews and turn them into powerful stories.
- Digital-First Approach: You’re familiar with digital journalism trends, SEO, and social media amplification.

Requirements

- 5+ years of journalism experience, preferably in business, finance, or B2B reporting.
- A degree in Journalism, Communications, Economics, or Business (or equivalent experience).
- Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
- Ability to work on multiple stories at once and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for on-ground reporting.
