About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise across the Azure data ecosystem and a strong background in building robust ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, and Synapse Analytics
- Build and maintain data lake and data warehouse architectures on Azure (ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Delta Lake)
- Develop ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse structured and unstructured sources
- Write efficient, scalable code using PySpark, SQL, and Python for large-scale data processing
- Implement data modeling (dimensional/star schema) for reporting and analytics use cases
- Optimize pipeline performance, monitor jobs, and troubleshoot data quality/pipeline failures
- Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions)




- Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met (RBAC, encryption, masking)
- Work with orchestration tools to schedule and automate data workflows
- Document technical designs, data flows, and pipeline architecture

Required Skills

- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, with 3+ years specifically on Azure
- Solid hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics
- Proficiency in PySpark, Python, and advanced SQL
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Delta Lake/Delta Tables
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and dimensional design
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Git)
- Familiarity with Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, or other Azure data stores
- Good understanding of data governance, security, and performance tuning
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
