Role Description

We are looking for an Associate SQL Backend Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India.

The role is designed for fresh graduates and early-career technology professionals interested in SQL, backend development, database engineering, software development, REST APIs, application development, data integration, cloud technologies, automation, and up-to-date software-engineering practices.

The Associate SQL Backend Engineer will work closely with software, IT, data, analytics, operations, finance, production, supply chain, sales, and other business teams to develop, test, integrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve backend applications, databases, APIs, data-access layers, internal platforms, enterprise systems, automation solutions, and digital services.

The role may involve working with SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, backend programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Node.js, PHP, or Go, REST APIs, ORM frameworks, cloud databases, testing tools, and modern backend technologies depending on project and business requirements.

Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Applications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Final-year students completing their degree and available for full-time employment may also apply.
- Candidates with 0–2 years of experience in SQL development, backend development, database development, software engineering, application development, API development, data engineering, or related technology roles can apply.
- Candidates currently working as Associate SQL Backend Engineer, Associate Backend Engineer SQL, SQL Backend Engineer,



Backend Engineer SQL, Associate SQL Developer, Junior SQL Developer, Database Developer, Backend Developer, Backend Engineer, Associate Software Engineer, Graduate Software Engineer, Junior Software Engineer, Application Developer, or Junior Database Engineer are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates from IT services, SaaS, product companies, technology, consulting, e-commerce, fintech, telecom, analytics, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or other industries are welcome.
- Basic to good understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with SELECT statements, joins, subqueries, aggregations, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, transactions, indexes, constraints, and query development will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite, or similar relational database systems will be advantageous.
- Understanding of database design, normalization, primary keys, foreign keys, referential integrity, schemas, data modeling, and relational structures will be beneficial.
- Exposure to query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plans, database performance, and troubleshooting will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/Node.js, PHP, or Go will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, Flask, FastAPI, .NET, Express.js, or similar technologies will be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, CRUD operations, API integration, authentication, authorization, and client-server architecture.
- Exposure to ORM technologies such as Hibernate, JPA, SQLAlchemy, Entity Framework, Sequelize, Prisma, or similar data-access frameworks will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with database connectivity, connection pooling, transactions, persistence layers, and backend data-access patterns will be advantageous.
- Exposure to MongoDB, Redis, or other NoSQL databases will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Exposure to ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, data integration, data validation,



or data-processing workflows will be considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, version control, branching, pull requests, debugging, and collaborative software-development workflows.
- Exposure to API testing, database testing, integration testing, unit testing, Postman, PyTest, JUnit, or similar testing tools will be beneficial.
- Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, managed databases, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar technologies will be considered an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Linux, command-line tools, application deployment, database configuration, logging, monitoring, and production-support concepts will be beneficial.
- Exposure to data warehouses, data marts, reporting databases, business intelligence, Power BI, Tableau, or analytics platforms will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Familiarity with database security, user permissions, role-based access, backups, recovery, data integrity, and secure coding concepts will be beneficial.
- Exposure to microservices, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, caching, asynchronous processing, message queues, or distributed applications will be considered an additional advantage.
- Exposure to automation, analytics, AI/ML, ERP, CRM, dashboards, reporting systems, or enterprise applications will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, technical documentation, requirements gathering, sprint planning, or issue tracking will be advantageous but is not mandatory.
- Good analytical, logical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to understand business and technical requirements and contribute to practical, reliable, scalable, maintainable, and secure backend and database solutions.
- Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
- Internship, academic project, SQL project, database project, backend project, API project, data project, web application, GitHub project, hackathon, freelance assignment, startup project, or open-source contribution will be considered but is not mandatory.
- Candidates without previous full-time backend or database-development experience can apply.
- Strong willingness to learn new backend frameworks, database technologies, APIs, cloud platforms, development tools, and modern software-engineering practices.
