Assistant Manager- Study Abroad Sales & Counselling

Location: Kochi, Kerala

Full-time | On-site | Work from Office

This is not a remote or online position. The selected candidate will be required to work regularly from our Kochi office.We therefore prefer applications from candidates currently based in Kerala, particularly Kochi and nearby regions, who can conveniently work from the office on a regular basis.

About the RoleSalve Maria is looking for experienced Study Abroad professionals to strengthen our destination-specific counselling and sales teams.

The position will work closely with our existing Destination Team Heads, supporting them in driving counsellor performance, student conversions, lead follow-up and achievement of business targets.

We are looking for candidates who already understand the Study Abroad business, have good counselling and conversion experience, and are ready to take greater responsibility within a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Destination Team Head in managing counsellor and sales performance.
- Monitor lead follow-up and help improve student conversions.
- Counsel students and support counsellors in handling prospective students effectively.
- Support performance reviews and achievement of team targets.
- Guide team members in handling challenging cases and improving follow-up.
- Ensure prospective students are systematically followed through different stages of the sales process.




- Work closely with the Team Head to improve destination-wise business performance.
- Take additional team responsibility when required.

Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of direct Study Abroad / Overseas Education industry experience – Mandatory.
- 4+ years of total qualified experience preferred.



- Strong experience in Study Abroad counselling, sales, student recruitment or business development.
- Strong practical knowledge of at least one major Study Abroad destination.
- Good understanding of lead management, follow-up and student conversion.
- Experience working with business/conversion targets.
- Previous experience guiding or supporting other counsellors/team members will be an advantage.
- Previous Team Lead or Manager designation is not mandatory.
- Strong communication, counselling and interpersonal skills.
- Result-oriented, responsible and willing to take ownership.

Candidates with strong expertise in one or more Study Abroad destinations are encouraged to apply. This position may particularly suit experienced Study Abroad Counsellors, Senior Counsellors, Student Recruitment professionals, Business Development professionals or junior Team Leaders who are ready to take on greater responsibility.
