Assistant Manager, Publishing, Digital Business
Location: Mumbai| Function: Publishing | Reports to: Senior Manager, Publishing, Digital Business
Purpose The incumbent will own the entire content publishing and catalogue presentation layer of SonyLIV. He/she will have to make sure every title (film, series, reality show, live event etc.) goes live with correct metadata, correct rights and monetisation configuration, and the right visibility on the app, resulting to drive uptick in viewership (DAU, DAV, VV) and ad revenue, with error free on the consumer facing front end.
Key Responsibilities
- Meta operations (end to end): synopsis, episode titles, cast, language, go live date, platform targeting (CTV vs others), free preview rules, asset de activation dates, SNP rating, geo policy
- Monetisation setup: SVOD and AVOD configuration, ad-tag configuration
- Quality control: QC across CMS front end & back-end tools before launch
- Approving Live Stream/Simulcast release orders, and Linear OTFM approvals
- Featuring and merchandising: moving the featuring plan with promo, imagery and synopsis alignment
- Managing existing B2B partners: manage end-to-end content delivery and resolve content-related issues raised by the partners, including telcos and OEMs.
- B2B Partner Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding of new B2B partners and ensure all the deadlines for the integrations are met from a content POV.

Critical Competencies
- Attention to detail and process discipline – metadata, rights windows, and ad and subscription configuration errors directly hit the consumer experience and revenue
- OTT platform and CMS fluency – working knowledge of content management, ad servers,
geo policy and multi device (CTV, mobile, web) behaviour
- Audience and content understanding – the goals call for in depth understanding of content launching across the network, so that featuring choices drives VV, DAU etc
- Cross-functional collaboration – working with stakeholders involving programming, marketing, ad sales, product, tech and B2B partners
- Team leader with mentorship responsibilities of the team
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor's degree in media, mass communication, business, IT or a related field. An MBA is a plus
- Experience: about 4 to 7 years in digital content operations, OTT publishing or video platform product operations
- Technical familiarity – CMS and metadata tools, ad-tag and SVOD/AVOD configuration, analytics dashboards (VV, DAU, DAV), and basic knowledge of DRM, geo rights and playback across devices
- Analytical skills – reading engagement to adjust featuring
- Soft skills – stakeholder management, communication, and team management
