Role & responsibilities
- Manage and support timely filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.
- Perform GST reconciliations and ensure accuracy of tax computations and compliance data.
- Manage GST compliance activities through the GST portal, including filings, registrations, notices and related requirements.
- Coordinate with internal Finance and Business teams to obtain relevant data and documentation for GST compliance.
- Liaise with external tax consultants on GST compliance and related matters.
- Support GST department liaisoning, including visits to GST offices across Mumbai, as required.
- Maintain GST records, workings and documentation for audits and assessments.
- Identify compliance gaps and support timely resolution of GST-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to applicable GST laws, regulations and statutory timelines.
- Stay updated on evolving GST and Indirect Tax regulations and work collaboratively with the team.
Preferred candidate profile
- 3–6 years of overall professional experience
- Graduate / Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, or a related field
- Strong GST knowledge with hands-on experience in GST compliances, return filing & reconciliations
- SAP exposure preferred
- Good communication & stakeholder management skills
- Robust attention to detail and ability to work within timelines
