We are hiring a Senior Technical Sales Manager (West India) for a renowned global materials manufacturer on a yearly renewable contract role. In the role, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of the West India region, from finding opportunities to closing orders in the electronics assembly and semiconductor packaging market.

Overview The role is for a self-motivated individual with technical sales skills and strong knowledge of SMT / PCB assembly and semiconductor packaging processes. The candidate will be extensively involved in hands-on activities, including customer visits, line trials, sample approvals, solution recommendations, and order closure. Candidate must be agile and flexible with changing priorities based on the team's and customers' needs.

About the company

Our client is a global manufacturer of materials used in electronics assembly and semiconductor packaging, with manufacturing and technical support centers across Asia, including India. Their materials are used every day on production lines making cars, mobile phones, servers, medical devices and power electronics. They are now growing their direct sales team in West India and want one person to own the region.

What you'll do:

- You will visit SMT lines and semiconductor packaging plants and meet process engineers, production heads and purchase teams
- You will find out where customers are losing yield (voiding, bridging, poor wetting or reliability failures) and recommend the right material
- You will run the full sale: find the opportunity, arrange samples and line trials, get the material approved, and close the order
- You will grow existing customers in Pune and nearby areas, and open recent customers in Gujarat




- You will work closely with the distributor partner and the regional sales team, backed by application engineers and technical labs

This role is for you if you have sold:

- Solder paste, solder wire, solder bar or flux
- Thermal paste or thermal interface materials, die-attach or conformal coating
- Soldering tools or rework stations
- SMT or semiconductor equipment (printers, pick-and-place, reflow ovens, AOI, X-ray, wire bonders)

…to EMS companies, electronics manufacturers or semiconductor packaging (OSAT) plants. This role is probably not for you if you mainly sell:
- Chips or electronic components (ICs, MCUs, MOSFETs, connectors, resistors, capacitors) through design-in or distribution
- PCB manufacturing or EMS assembly services to OEMs
- Welding materials, industrial products, or anything outside electronics

Simple test: if you sell what is used to join parts onto the board, this is your role. If you sell the parts themselves, it is not.

What you'll need:

- 5+ years in technical sales, with deals you closed yourself
- Good understanding of SMT / PCB assembly or semiconductor packaging processes
- Engineering degree preferred (electronics, electrical, chemical or mechanical)
- Clear, confident English for customer meetings and reporting to an international team
- Willingness to travel across West India, and overseas sometimes
- Valid driving license
