Role Description The Area Legal Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Vijayawada East. This role is responsible for overseeing legal matters within the assigned area, including reviewing and preparing legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to banking operations.

The Area Legal

Manager will provide legal advice to business units, support litigation management, and ensure adherence to regulatory and statutory requirements. Daily tasks include monitoring legal risks, coordinating with external counsel when required, resolving legal queries from branches, and supporting compliance and risk teams on legal issues.



The role also involves maintaining updated knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and contributing to policies and procedures that support fair and transparent banking practices.

Qualifications

- Solid foundational knowledge of Law and banking-related legal frameworks, with the ability to interpret and apply statutes and regulations.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, vetting, and reviewing contracts, agreements, notices, and other legal instruments.
- Experience in Legal Consulting, providing clear and practical legal guidance to business, operations, and management teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in Legal Compliance, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
- Experience managing Legal Affairs such as litigation support, dispute resolution, coordination with external counsel, and regulatory interactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); LL.M or specialization in banking/financial law is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and risk awareness.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in banking, financial services, or NBFCs in a legal or compliance role is preferred.
