General Position Information
Reports directly to (Title): Assistant Manager WFA
Matrix reports to (Title): As applicable based on functional alignment
Direct Reports: Individual contributor; no direct reports
Position Summary The WFA Analyst I, is responsible for providing front-line service and support to employees (active and inactive), managers, HR field staff, and company vendors for questions, issues, and problems related to HR and Payroll. The WFA Analyst I will perform administrative, transactional, and data/records management activities in support of HR and HRIS functions, including processing life-cycle transactions like onboarding, status change, compensation, separations, etc. The WFA Analyst I will work under direction from the WFA Assistant Manager to ensure HR service delivery is consistently high-quality.
Responsibilities
Performance Reporting &
- Insights
- Troubleshoot questions from field HR representatives and partnering HROC service groups regarding Lawson/GHR system, new hire actions, payroll information, and licensure/certifications.
- Facilitate license updates in Lawson on behalf of HCA’s third-party vendor, License Manager Pro.
- Provide immediate, timely, efficient support to HR staff during surveyor audits (IE: Joint Commission) by retrieving documentation, reviewing information to coordinate historical record and compile into Survey Template.
- Assist managerial staff with employee actions when needed. This includes but is not limited to: terminations, payroll adjustments, internal transfers, one-time payments and status changes.
- Provide FMLA and leave of absence information to a third-party vendor (Sedgwick, Prudential, etc.) for all HCA employees when requested.
- Facilitate ‘second-day’ entry of licensure and education, as well as upload background checks and drug screens appropriately for all hired HCA employees.
- Accept and complete data entry upon receipt of certification renewals via case ticket from Employees, Managers, HRBPs, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to online inquiries from employees and managers at all levels and resolve questions/issues by accessing information in multiple systems on the computer.
Operational Support &
- Process Improvement
- Applies Agile methodologies and continuous process improvement practices, including Lean, Six Sigma, and other frameworks, to evaluate workflows, identify inefficiencies and root causes, prioritize opportunities, and implement sustainable process and service delivery improvements.
- Leverages advanced analytics (e.g., predictive modeling, machine learning, data mining, prescriptive analysis, visualization), artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies to forecast trends, generate actionable insights,
automate and streamline processes, expand self-service capabilities, and identify innovative solutions that enhance the employee, candidate, and HR user experience.
- Map current workflows, document procedures, and recommend improvements that reduce manual effort and improve cycle time, quality, or service.
- Track operational action items, follow through on open issues, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Support implementation of new tools, reporting enhancements, process controls, or business initiatives through testing, documentation, and adoption activities.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Compensation COE, Payroll Service Center, HR Business Partners, Managers, Employees, Sedgwick, PreCheck and other HROC Service Groups.
Data Quality, Governance &
- Compliance
- WFA Analysts will utilize Atlas, Trinisys, GHR, Lawson, Case Management, Kronos, Sedgwick ViaOne, License Manager Pro, Outlook Mailboxes and adhere to internal policies, confidentiality standards, and documentation requirements while handling business information and sensitive data.

Education &
- Experience
- Bachelor's degree - Required
- Less than 1 year of experience in relevant work experience - Required
- 1+ year(s) of experience in HR Service center - Preferred
