Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based at Mishmash Bio Lab’s farm in Gundlupet, Karnataka. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. This role involves preparing and reviewing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with budgeting and cost tracking for farm operations, and supporting payroll processing.

The Accountant will also help ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulatory requirements, prepare periodic financial reports for management, and coordinate with external auditors or consultants as needed.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, cost tracking, and preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation and compliance, including GST, local statutory requirements, and documentation for audits.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, including use of spreadsheets, formulas, and basic data analysis tools.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and external finance or audit partners.
- Relevant educational background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; qualified certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
- Experience in agriculture, poultry, or manufacturing sectors, and familiarity with inventory costing and farm-related expense tracking, will be beneficial.
