Role Description The Accountant at DesignHex will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations. The role includes preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, tracking project expenses, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will also assist with tax compliance, coordinate with external auditors or consultants as needed, and ensure adherence to internal financial controls and relevant regulations.

This is a full-time,



on-site role based in Mumbai, working closely with the design and operations teams to provide accurate financial insights that support project planning and business decision-making.

Qualifications

- Solid skills in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost tracking, and financial analysis for projects and overall organisation.
- Experience with accounting software (Tally, SAP, etc.) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage multiple deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in interior design, architecture, or a project-based business environment is a plus.
