Role Description The Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based at ROOP RANI SUKHNANDAN SINGH COLLEGE in Kanpur Nagar. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including maintaining ledgers, preparing vouchers, processing invoices, and recording receipts and payments. The role includes preparing periodic financial statements, assisting with budgeting, monitoring expenses, and ensuring timely fee collection and reconciliation with student records.

The Accountant will handle bank reconciliations, coordinate with auditors, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and institutional policies,



and support management with financial reports and analyses. The position also involves collaborating with administrative and academic departments to support smooth financial and payroll processes.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial record-keeping, and preparation of financial statements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office tools, particularly Excel, for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in numerical work, and ability to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Kanpur Nagar and collaborate effectively in a college environment.
- Relevant academic qualification such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in educational institutions or similar administrative accounting roles is an advantage.
