We are seeking an experienced Accountant (Import & Export - International Trading Company) to oversee financial management, trade finance, tax compliance, and reporting for international import and export operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, managing foreign currency transactions, monitoring logistics costs, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements.
- Key Responsibilities
· Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping using Tally ERP and ERP Next.
· Maintain purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, payments, and ledger entries.
· Maintain and update stock/inventory records for materials and finished goods.
· Prepare and maintain delivery challans, invoices, and other documentation.
· Assist with salary/payroll-related administration.
· Maintain daily factory administrative records and documentation.
- Exim Accounting
· RoDTEP Scrips Receivable A/c: Tracks the value of tax remission scrips granted by the DGFT.
· Duty Drawback Receivable A/c: Tracks customs duty refunds due from the port authorities via ICEGATE.
· IGST Refund Receivable A/c: Tracks GST paid on exports that is pending refund from the government.
· Foreign Trade Debtors (Segmented by Currency/Country): Keeps track of international buyers.
· Foreign Trade Creditors: Tracks overseas suppliers for raw materials or capital goods.
· Customs Duty Payable A/c: Captures Basic Customs Duty (BCD) and Social Welfare Surcharge (SWS) due on incoming shipments.
· Export Sales (Under LUT): Revenue generated from tax-free exports under a Letter of Undertaking.
· Income from RoDTEP / Export Incentives: Direct operational income booked when export benefits are recognized.
· Profit on Sale of RoDTEP Scrips: Gains made if the business sells its duty scrips in the open market
· Ocean Freight / Air Freight Charges: International transit costs.
· CHA & Clearing Charges: Local port handling and agent fees.
· Customs Duty (Non-Creditable): BCD component added directly to the cost of raw materials
· Foreign Exchange Fluctuation Loss A/c: Standard accounting ledger for realized or unrealized translation losses (AS 11 / Ind AS 21).
· Shipping Bill / Bill of Entry fields mapped to individual vendor/customer transactions for seamless EDPMS/IDPMS bank reconciliation.
- Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years and maximum 7 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in accounting systems such as Tally ERP, ERP Next.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel.
- Experience in stock/inventory management and accounting.
- Experience handling delivery challans, invoices, salary slips, appointment letters, and administrative documentation.
- Experience in a manufacturing/factory environment with Import/Export knowledge will be an advantage
