Role Description The Academic Counsellor at PixelPop Academy is a full-time, in office role based in Gurugram. In this position, the counsellor guides prospective and current students in selecting suitable programs and specializations aligned with their interests and career goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining program structures and career pathways, supporting students through the admissions process, and maintaining accurate records of interactions.





The counsellor collaborates with academic and admissions teams to ensure a smooth student experience, follows up with leads, and provides ongoing academic guidance to enrolled students. This role also involves participating in outreach activities, information sessions, and events to build awareness of PixelPop Academy’s programs.

Qualifications

- Strong student advising and counseling abilities, including active listening, empathy, and solution-focused guidance.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capacity to present complex program details clearly.
- Organizational and documentation skills to manage student records, follow-ups, and admission-related workflows.
- Comfort with technology and digital tools used for CRM, online counseling sessions, and data tracking.
- Understanding of higher education programs, particularly technology- and business-focused degrees, and current industry trends.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in admissions, academics, and marketing to support student success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Management, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, student advisory services, or admissions in a college, university, or edtech organization is preferred.
