Sovereign Minds Academy is expanding its online teaching team and is looking for enthusiastic Piano Teachers to teach students from 40+ international countries, including young learners from different age groups and backgrounds.

If you have hands-on experience teaching Piano to children and young learners and are comfortable teaching musical concepts, piano techniques, songs, and music fundamentals in an engaging, structured, and age-appropriate way, we'd love to hear from you.

What We're Looking For

- Strong working knowledge of Piano and Music Fundamentals, including piano technique, posture, hand position, finger placement, scales, chords, rhythm, notes, sight-reading, basic music theory, and age-appropriate repertoire.
- Ability to teach students at beginner to intermediate levels and adapt lessons according to the student's age, skill level, learning pace, and musical interests.
- Ability to teach Piano through practical exercises, playing activities, musical games, rhythm exercises, sight-reading, technique drills, songs, and interactive activities.
- Previous experience teaching Piano to children or young learners, preferably in an online or structured teaching environment.
- Familiarity with using online teaching platforms, digital resources, sheet music, interactive tools, and other resources to conduct engaging Piano lessons.
- Ability to teach students proper piano posture, hand position, finger technique, rhythm, coordination, and playing habits.
- Ability to explain music theory and piano concepts in a simple, structured, and age-appropriate manner.
- Ability to develop students' musicality, rhythm, coordination, listening skills, confidence, creativity, and overall musicianship.
- Excellent spoken English and the ability to communicate clearly with international students, including students accustomed to American English.
- Ability to make Piano lessons engaging, interactive, encouraging, and enjoyable for young learners.
- Comfortable working independently in an online teaching environment.
- Candidates will be assessed on their Piano skills, music knowledge,



and teaching approach during the selection process.

Technical Setup

Since classes are conducted online, you should have:

- A Windows 10 laptop or compatible Windows setup.
- Reliable, high-speed internet with a minimum upload speed of 25 Mbps.
- A working webcam.
- Wired noise-cancelling earphones/headphones.
- A functional piano or keyboard suitable for conducting online lessons.
- A suitable setup that allows the teacher to clearly demonstrate hand position, finger movement, and piano technique during lessons.

Work Schedule

This is a versatile part-time or full-time remote opportunity.

Teachers can choose their availability based on the slots they select. Candidates should be comfortable taking classes during late-night or early-morning hours when required, particularly to accommodate students based in the United States and other international locations.

This opportunity may involve US-shift or night-shift teaching hours, depending on student demand and the availability provided by the teacher.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit a 3-minute self-introduction video covering specific points shared during the selection process.

The video and application responses will be used to assess your communication skills, teaching background, Piano skills, music knowledge, teaching approach, and overall suitability for the role.

Candidates may also be assessed on their ability to demonstrate and explain Piano and music concepts in a way that is suitable, practical, interactive, and engaging for children and young learners.

Candidates should also be comfortable demonstrating Piano techniques, correcting student playing habits, and providing constructive feedback during online lessons.
