Job Purpose
Job Purpose
- Lead and manage production and operational activities to ensure safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing operations in line with AkzoNobel standards, business objectives and customer requirements.
- Deliver production targets and service levels through effective planning, resource allocation and execution of manufacturing activities, ensuring the right product is produced at the right quality, quantity and time.
- Drive operational excellence and manufacturing performance by continuously improving productivity, quality, cost, asset utilization, process reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with HSE, Quality and regulatory requirements, while fostering a strong safety culture and preventing incidents, defects and operational losses.

- Assist the Production Manager in managing production operations to achieve site targets in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity.
- Ensure safe,
reliable and efficient production operations in compliance with AkzoNobel HSE standards, quality requirements, operating procedures and applicable regulations.
- Manage production performance and capacity to meet customer demand and production schedules, while optimizing manpower, equipment, materials and other resources.
- Monitor and improve key manufacturing KPIs, including OEE, productivity, yield, waste, downtime, energy consumption and manufacturing costs.
- Drive and support Continuous Improvement, ALPS and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve operational performance and eliminate losses.
- Lead problem-solving and root-cause analysis for safety incidents, quality deviations, process abnormalities and production losses, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with R&D;&I;, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain to support Current Product Introduction, scale-up, production trials and successful transfer of products to routine manufacturing.
- Support the optimization of manufacturing processes, equipment, operating procedures and production methods to improve quality, process capability, reliability and efficiency.

Experience
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other closely related engineering fields.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably in the chemical, coatings or process industry.
- Solid knowledge and practical experience in production management, manufacturing processes, HSE, Quality Management Systems and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, ALPS, 5S, TPM and problem-solving methodologies is preferred.
- Experience with SAP or other manufacturing/ERP systems and ability to use production data to monitor performance and support decision making.
- Strong understanding of SQCDP, production KPIs, productivity, yield, OEE, cost control and loss elimination.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to engage, coach and develop employees at different levels.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify root causes, prioritize issues and drive effective actions.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with Production, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D;&I;, Engineering and Maintenance.
