Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Warranty Manager to manage the complete warranty claim process for heavy commercial vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate warranty documentation, timely claim submission, coordination with Ashok Leyland, and proper closure of warranty jobs as per OEM guidelines and company SOPs.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage the complete vehicle warranty claim process from identification to final settlement.
- Verify warranty eligibility based on vehicle details, warranty terms and OEM guidelines.
- Review warranty jobs, repair orders, parts and labour details before claim submission.
- Ensure accurate preparation and timely submission of warranty claims.
- Coordinate with Ashok Leyland warranty/OEM officials regarding claims, approvals, technical queries and claim settlements.
- Follow up on pending, rejected, returned and disputed warranty claims.
- Ensure all required documents, photographs, technical reports and supporting records are properly maintained.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Workshop Manager, Technicians, Parts Department and Accounts Department for smooth warranty processing.
- Ensure warranty parts are properly identified, tagged, stored and maintained as per OEM requirements.
- Monitor warranty parts return/scrapping procedures and ensure compliance with OEM instructions.
- Check warranty claim deductions and discrepancies and take corrective action.
- Maintain warranty claim registers, pending claim reports and settlement records.
- Prepare periodic Warranty MIS reports for management.
- Monitor warranty claim ageing and ensure timely closure of outstanding claims.
- Ensure warranty-related documentation is complete and audit-ready.
- Identify recurring warranty issues and coordinate with the workshop/technical team for corrective action.




- Ensure compliance with Ashok Leyland warranty policies, SOPs and service-centre guidelines.
- Support OEM warranty audits and inspections and provide required records and information.
- Train and guide service and workshop staff regarding warranty procedures and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of customer and company records.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of automobile warranty processes and claim management.
- Good understanding of heavy commercial vehicle repair and service operations.
- Knowledge of OEM warranty procedures and documentation.
- Good knowledge of SAP, MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong documentation and follow-up skills.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to analyse warranty claims and identify discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple warranty claims.

Qualification & Experience

Qualification: Diploma / ITI / Graduate in Automobile, Mechanical or related field.

Experience: 4–8 years of relevant experience in Warranty / Service / Automobile Workshop operations.

Experience with Ashok Leyland will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be technically sound, organised, detail-oriented and capable of independently managing warranty claims and OEM coordination. Experience in an authorised commercial vehicle service centre will be an added advantage.
