Regional News Unit of Akashvani Itanagar seeks applications from eligible candidates for
engagement as Part Time Correspondents (PTCs)( one in each district) for 1. Anjaw, 2.
Changlang, 3.DibangValley, 4. East Kameng, 5. Kamle, 6. Kra Daadi, 7. Kurung Kumey, 8.
Lepa Rada, 9.Lohit, 10. Longding, 11. Lower Dibang Valley, 12. Lower Siang, 13. Lower
Subansiri, 14. Namsai,15. Pakke Kessang, 16. Papum Pare, 17. Shi Yomi, 18. Siang, 19.
Tawang, 20. Tirap,21.Upper Siang, 22. West Kameng, 23. West Siang and 24. Capital
Complex Itanagar.). The last date of submission of application is 15 days from the issuance

Candidates having the following Essential and Desirable qualifications may apply

for the selection for engagement as PTC for a particular district where he/she resides.

1. Qualifications:-
(a) ESSENTIAL:

(i) PG Diploma/Degree in Journalism/Mass Media
OR
Graduate with minimum two years journalistic experience* (Journalistic

experience to be desirable for candidates in difficult and border areas like
North-Eastern States, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands,
Lakshadweep, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman, Diu and Kutch)

(ii) Age limit : 24 to 45 years.(age as on the last day of advertisement)
(iii) Should reside in the district headquarters or within a radius of 10 kms from the





district HQs/Municipal limit in the district for which he/she is being engaged.
(iv) Knowledge of computers & word processing.
(v) Possession of news gathering devices

(b) DESIRABLE:

(i) Experience of coverage for electronic media.
