Purchase & Tally Operator

About the Job:

We are looking for a Purchase & Tally Operator to handle purchase planning, order processing, Tally entries, and stock management. We are automobile spare-parts dealers dealing with 20+ companies, so the candidate should be comfortable working with different products, part numbers, schemes, and ordering processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Check stock and sales data in Magenta BI and identify products that need to be reordered.
- Prepare purchase orders based on stock levels, sales movement, requirements, company schemes, and MOQ.
- Discuss requirements with the Sales Head and finalize the order.
- Place orders through company portals or email as per the company's process.
- Enter all purchase orders correctly in Tally.
- Enter purchase invoices in Tally after receiving goods and ensure stock is updated correctly.
- Create new items in Tally and maintain correct item names, part numbers, and product details.
- Understand different automobile spare parts, part numbers, variants, and applications.
- Keep track of sales and stock movement so that upcoming requirements can be planned in advance.
- Coordinate with company SPOCs and management regarding schemes, MOQ, pricing, availability, pending orders, and delivery.




- Check purchase invoices and received goods for correct quantity, part number, and rate.
- Use MS Excel for basic calculations, formulas, order preparation, and editing.
- Maintain proper records of purchase orders, invoices, and stock-related information.

Skills Required:

- Working knowledge of Tally, especially purchase orders, purchase invoices, and inventory.
- Basic to good knowledge of MS Excel and formulas.
- Valuable with numbers and basic calculations.
- Good attention to detail, especially with part numbers, quantities, and rates.
- Ability to understand products and learn a large number of automobile spare parts.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with multiple companies and understand their different schemes, MOQs, and ordering systems.
- Prior experience in automobile spare parts or a similar purchase/inventory role will be an advantage.

The candidate should be organized, responsible, and proactive. The role requires more than just data entrythe person should be able to look at stock and sales, understand the requirement, plan purchases, and ensure the order and Tally entries are completed accurately and on time.
