Job Description – Change & Business Transition ManagerRole Overview
The Change & Business Transition Manager will lead the end-to-end change and transition workstream, ensuring successful adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working across the organization.
This role goes beyond traditional change management to include operating model design, governance definition, user enablement, testing support, and post-go-live stabilization, ensuring that transformation initiatives are not only implemented but effectively embedded into business operations.Key Responsibilities
1. End-to-End Change & Transition Leadership
- Lead the overall change and business transition lifecycle across phases:
- Mobilization and stakeholder alignment
- Future ways of working definition
- Adoption enablement
- Stabilization and continuous improvement
- Ensure seamless transition from current/interim processes to secure business-as-usual operations
2. Stakeholder Alignment & Change Governance
- Identify and engage key stakeholders across business and IT
- Establish and manage:
- Change governance structures
- Decision-making forums and escalation models
- Conduct change impact and readiness assessments
- Build and activate a change champion network to support adoption
3. Operating Model, SOP & Governance Design
- Define and implement:
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Roles & responsibilities (RACI frameworks)
- Governance and control mechanisms
- Establish:
- Data/process ownership
- Quality controls, issue resolution workflows, and escalation pathways
- Drive alignment on KPIs, reporting standards, and usage guidelines
4. Process & Capability Transition Enablement
- Support transition of key business processes into new operating models
- Define and standardize:
- Process workflows
- Exception handling and escalation mechanisms
- Enable alignment across teams and regions on:
- Ownership
- Dependencies
- Business rules and decision-making
5. UAT Planning & Business Readiness
- Define business-led testing approach, including:
- Scenario design aligned to real workflows
- User roles, access, and participation model
- Facilitate structured testing sessions with end users
- Capture:
- Defects, process gaps, and clarity issues
- User readiness indicators
- Translate testing outcomes into readiness and enablement actions
6. Training & Adoption Enablement
- Design and deliver role-based, hands-on training programs
- Develop:
- Training materials, SOPs, and job aids
- Practical, scenario-based learning content
- Ensure users are able to:
- Execute new processes confidently
- Understand issue resolution and escalation pathways
- Measure training effectiveness and address capability gaps
7. Cutover, Go-Live & Hypercare Support
- Define and validate operational readiness criteria prior to go-live
- Support cutover planning and execution activities
- Lead initial go-live support, including:
- Issue capture and triage
- User guidance and clarification
- Establish structured tracking for:
- Issues, owners, severity, and resolution status
8. Stabilization, Continuous Improvement & BAU Transition
- Monitor adoption, performance, and user behaviour post go-live
- Identify and resolve recurring issues through structured improvement cycles
- Update SOPs,
job aids, and governance models as needed
- Lead transition to BAU by:
- Defining ownership, support model, and escalation paths
- Ensuring knowledge transfer and operational handover
Key Deliverables
- Change strategy and stakeholder engagement plan
- SOPs, RACI frameworks, and governance model
- Business readiness and testing plans
- Training curriculum, materials, and job aids
- Cutover plan and go-live readiness checklist
- Hypercare issue tracker and adoption dashboard
- BAU handover documentation

- Reduction in process/data issues post go-live

- Smooth transition to stable BAU operations
Required Experience & Skills
Core Experience
- 8–10 years in Change Management, Business Transformation
- Experience in large-scale, cross-functional or multi-region initiatives
Functional Expertise
- Change strategy, stakeholder engagement, and communication
- Operating model and governance design
- Training design and delivery
- Business testing (UAT) coordination
- Transition management and hypercare support
Behavioral Skills
- Strong stakeholder management across business and technology teams
- Ability to drive clarity in ambiguous or evolving environments
- Structured problem-solving and execution mindset
- Strong facilitation and communication skills
