Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Lead with 2 to 4 years of experience and proven hands-on expertise in implementing MES solutions. The candidate will engage with customers to understand manufacturing challenges, gather and analyze requirements, identify project scope, prepare Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and map business requirements to suitable MES features.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in end-to-end MES implementations, including discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, go-live, and post-production support.
Conduct customer interviews and workshops with plant teams, process owners, business users, and technical stakeholders.
Analyze existing manufacturing processes, operational challenges, and system landscapes.
Identify and document business requirements, process gaps, improvement opportunities, and expected outcomes.
Define project scope, including in-scope and out-of-scope requirements, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, and risks.
Prepare FRS, process flows, use cases, functional designs, fit-gap analyses,



and requirement traceability documents.
Map customer problems and requirements to standard MES modules, features, workflows, and configurations.
Recommend configuration, integration, customization, or process changes for requirements not addressed by standard MES features.
Collaborate with architects, developers, integration teams, and business users to deliver effective MES solutions.
Support functional testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live, and production stabilization.
Use SQL for data analysis, transaction validation, reconciliation, reporting, and issue troubleshooting.
Support MES integration with ERP, SCADA, PLC, historians, quality systems, warehouse systems, and shop-floor equipment.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

2 to 4 years of experience in MES consulting, business analysis, or manufacturing digitalization.
Proven working experience in implementing MES solutions in manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and MES functionalities,
including:
o Production and work-order management
o Work-in-progress tracking
o Material consumption and movement
o Product genealogy and traceability
o Quality and nonconformance management




o Equipment downtime and OEE monitoring
o Electronic work instructions and production reporting
Solid SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, aggregate queries, views, stored procedures, data validation, and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated experience in:
o Customer interviews and workshop facilitation
o Requirement gathering, analysis, and validation
o Project scope identification
o FRS creation
o Process mapping and fit-gap analysis
o Mapping business problems and requirements to MES features
o Requirement traceability and change management
Understanding of databases, APIs, web services, system interfaces, and MES integration with ERP and shop-floor systems.
Excellent customer-facing, communication, documentation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience with recognized MES platforms is preferred.
Experience in discrete, automotive, industrial, electronics, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, or process manufacturing is an advantage.
Willingness to travel to customer and manufacturing sites when required.
