Job Description / Key Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of Hyperion Financial Management solutions for clients. This includes client interactions across the life cycle of the project. The role requires strong functional understanding of group consolidation and reporting, combined with hands-on expertise in HFM application design, rules development, data integration, testing, deployment and production support.

The individual will lead client discussions, translate accounting requirements into scalable system designs, manage delivery teams, and take ownership of project quality, timelines, risks and stakeholder communication. The role requires the ability to operate independently while guiding teams through complex consolidation, currency translation and integration requirements.

Required Experience

- 7+ years of relevant experience in HFM implementation, financial consolidation and group reporting solutions.
- Must have handled at least 4 full-cycle, end-to-end HFM implementations, covering requirements, design, build, testing, deployment and post-go-live support.
- Experience leading HFM workstreams or projects and managing functional and technical team members.
- Practical experience working with finance, controllership, consolidation and reporting stakeholders in complex, multi-entity environments.

Functional and Consolidation Expertise
- Strong understanding of statutory and management consolidation processes, including legal entity structures, ownership, intercompany eliminations, journals and close controls.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing consolidation and translation rules, including custom currency translation requirements.
- Hands-on understanding of goodwill calculations and related consolidation adjustments.
- Experience implementing equity accounting, including share of profit or loss and movement in investment balances.
- Experience designing non-controlling interest (NCI) calculations, including ownership-based allocation of profit, reserves and equity movements.
- Strong understanding of cash flow reporting, including automated cash flow logic, movement analysis and mapping of balance sheet and profit-and-loss movements.
- Ability to interpret accounting requirements and convert approved policies into HFM metadata, rules, controls and reports.

Technical and Integration Skills
- Advanced hands-on knowledge of HFM application design, including metadata, hierarchies, custom dimensions, application settings, forms, grids, journals and security.
- Ability to design, write, review and optimize HFM rules for consolidation, translation, eliminations, ownership, allocations and cash flow calculations.
- Experience with HFM data load processes, validation controls, process management and performance optimization.
- Experience integrating HFM with SAP source systems, including extracts, mappings, data validation and reconciliation requirements.
- Experience integrating HFM with custom tables or staging databases, including file- and table-based interfaces, transformation logic, control totals and error handling.
- Working knowledge of FDM/FDMEE or equivalent integration tooling, including import formats, locations, mappings, validation rules and load processes.
- Experience with Smart View and financial reporting solutions for management and statutory reporting.
- Ability to diagnose application, rules, data, integration and performance issues and coordinate resolution across teams.

Project Delivery and Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead workshops to gather and validate business, accounting, reporting, integration, security and operational requirements.
- Own solution design documents, configuration workbooks, rule specifications, data integration designs, test strategies and deployment plans.
- Prepare estimates, delivery plans, resource requirements and task allocations for the HFM workstream.
- Lead design, build, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, cutover, go-live and stabilization activities.
- Ensure traceability from business requirements to configuration, rules, test evidence and production deployment.
- Manage risks, issues,



dependencies and change requests, with timely escalation and clear options for resolution.
- Review team deliverables and enforce quality standards for metadata, rules, integrations, reconciliations and documentation.
- Mentor consultants and senior consultants, provide technical direction and support capability development.
- Coordinate with client finance, SAP, database, integration, infrastructure and other project teams.
