Role Overview:
Optum’s User Experience Design Team is looking for an energetic and creative Senior Manager who is passionate about the design of outstanding health care experiences. As a Senior Manager you will report to the Senior Director of Product Design and supervise a team of senior designers. You will collaborate with researchers, developers and product managers to create best-in-class, interoperable and modern SaaS solutions using human-centered methodologies.

Primary Responsibilities:




• Manage a team of senior level product designers to design compelling and useful products
• Create functional prototypes, static mockups as well as textual specifications - each describing in as much detail and fidelity as possible the intended user-observable behavior of the final product
• Collaborate with stakeholders including UX Leads, Product Managers and Development Managers to identify, plan, prioritize and implement project design activities
• Participate in gathering research insights and concept testing to inform design decisions
• Perform design duties for one or more projects to meet UX, technical, and business needs
• Advocate for user-centered design including research and accessibility
• Leverage and contribute to existing design pattern libraries and interface guidelines
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all dire
