Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading product accounting, reporting and financial control activities across Wealth and Retail Banking products. The role focuses on ensuring accurate revenue recognition, robust P&L; accounting, completeness of product financials, timely variance analysis and high-quality business commentary. It requires strong commercial acumen across wealth, retail banking and related capital markets products, together with a disciplined risk and governance mindset to strengthen financial control, reporting integrity and stakeholder confidence.

Responsibilities

Strategy

• Drive the WRB Product Accounting agenda for Wealth and Retail Banking products, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, P&L; accounting and product financial reporting.
• Identify and address risks to P&L; accuracy, product accounting outcomes, balance sheet substantiation and external reporting disclosures.
• Strengthen governance, control and reporting frameworks through standardised processes, disciplined review routines and clear accountability.
• Review product financials,



variances and key drivers to provide commercially meaningful commentary for senior management and stakeholders.
• Promote continuous improvement in product accounting processes, controls and analytics to support scalable, accurate and decision-useful reporting.

Business

• Build robust commercial understanding of WRB business models, product economics, customer propositions, market drivers and risk characteristics.
• Partner with Business Finance, Product teams, Country Finance and GCFO India Controllers to translate product performance, revenue trends and P&L; movements into clear senior-management commentary.
• Support revenue recognition accuracy by understanding product features, fee structures, amortisation, valuation drivers, accounting treatment and relevant IFRS requirements.
