Ratch AI is hiring for one our client mandates, an AI-powered fashion platform building real-time fashion for young Indian women. They are early, funded and based in Bengaluru. The team is small, senior and deliberately cross-disciplinary, with design, merchandising and technology working off the same drop calendar. Decisions get made quickly, tested in market, and revised with evidence rather than opinion.

The Role

The brand is looking for a Trend Specialist to lead their Trend and Design team and own the path from trend signal to commercially relevant product. You will combine a designer's eye for silhouette, fabric and colour with real comfort in spreadsheets, and the judgment to decide what we should make, at what price, and in what quantity.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
• Lead the Trend and Design team, allocate work, give feedback and keep trend research and product development on schedule.
• Research current and emerging trends across silhouettes, colours, fabrics, prints, patterns and styling.
• Analyse competitor assortments, price ladders,



social signals and customer preferences to find openings worth building into.
• Translate trend signals into buildable, commercially viable products alongside the design team.
• Build and maintain trend trackers, product analyses, dashboards and performance reports in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Prepare trend reports, mood boards, trend boards and seasonal direction for design and merchandising.
• Decide product tiering across test, core and hero styles, and defend those calls with evidence.
• Work closely with buying, merchandising, sourcing and production to take selections from board to market-ready product.
• Coach junior designers on trend research, product selection and design direction, and raise the standard of their output.
