The Group has recently strengthened its automotive leadership and is actively expanding into mechatronics, ADAS-linked braking systems, and advanced suspension technologies, with an ambition to rank among the top 50 global automotive component players. Technology and digital capability are now core to this next phase of growth.

Why This Role Exists:

Organisation's leadership wants to move away from manual, plant-by-plant workflows toward a connected, AI-enabled operating model across its manufacturing network. This is not a traditional IT infrastructure or ERP-administration mandate — it is a build-from-scratch charter to bring AI and automation into core business workflows, and to give the leadership team a clear, informed view of how AI is actually being adopted across Automotive, Manufacturing, and allied industries, so that we can make the right technology bets rather than following trends.

The Group has been explicit that a conventional "IT Head" profile from a manufacturing background is not the right fit here — the mandate needs someone whose primary identity is digital transformation and AI-led operating change, with enough manufacturing fluency to execute inside a plant environment.

What You'll Own:

- Define and drive AI & Digital Transformation roadmap across 20 manufacturing plants and multiple group companies, prioritized by business impact
- Identify and eliminate manual, paper-based, or disconnected workflows across plant operations, supply chain, quality,



and support functions by replacing them with AI-enabled and automated processes
- Build and lead a lean internal digital/AI team, while managing external technology partners, platforms, and implementation vendors
- Advise Group leadership directly — including the Director and CEOs of business units — on how AI is being used across Automotive, Manufacturing, and other industries, translating market and competitor signal into a practical roadmap
- Own the business case, prioritization, and measurable ROI for every digital/AI initiative — this is a value-delivery mandate, not a cost-center IT function
- Evaluate and implement Industry 4.0 capabilities — IoT-enabled plant monitoring, predictive maintenance, computer-vision quality checks, GenAI-enabled workflows, and connected-factory platforms — where they create real operating leverage
- Establish the governance, data foundation, and change-management approach needed to scale AI safely across a multi-plant, multi-company group.

What We're Looking For:

- Minimum 12+ years of progressive experience, with a substantial and recent portion spent specifically leading digital transformation and/or AI-enabled operating change — not managing a legacy IT/infrastructure function




- Proven experience designing and executing an AI or digital roadmap in a manufacturing, automotive, engineering, or industrial environment, ideally across multiple plants or business units
- Hands-on fluency with how AI, automation, and Industry 4.0 technologies are actually applied on a shop floor and across supply chain and quality functions — able to separate genuine value from vendor hype
- Experience building and leading small, high-caliber teams, and managing external technology/implementation partners
- Strong business-case and stakeholder-management ability — comfortable advising a Group Director/CEO directly and defending ROI, not just delivering a technical build
- A builder's mindset: this is a from-scratch mandate inside a large, quick-evolving industrial group, not a maintain-and-run role.
