Job Description: Accountant

Location: Kalbadevi, Mumbai (on-site)

About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, GST compliance and MIS
reporting for our fabric business in Kalbadevi. You will keep our books accurate, ensure timely statutory
filings, and turn financial data into clear reports and dashboards that help management make decisions.

Key Responsibilities
•Maintain accurate books of accounts, including sales, purchase, journal, bank and cash entries
•Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconcile with books and GSTR-2B
•Manage input tax credit reconciliation and resolve mismatches with vendors
•Prepare invoices, e-way bills and e-invoices where applicable
•Handle accounts receivable and payable, party ledger reconciliation and payment follow-ups
•Prepare monthly MIS reports, including sales, outstanding, stock and expense summaries
•Build and update Excel dashboards for management review




•Maintain proper documentation and records of vouchers, bills and statutory filings
•Prepare data and documents for audits, and coordinate with the CA / auditors
•Support TDS computation and timely payment, as required

Required Skills and Qualifications
•B. Com / M. Com or equivalent; CA Inter, CMA Inter or similar is an advantage
•4–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, textiles or a related industry
•Strong working knowledge of GST filing and reconciliation
•Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas and dashboards
•Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally Prime
•Good documentation and reporting skills
•Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
•Positive communication in Hindi and English; Gujarati or Marathi is a plus

Good to Have
•Experience in the fabric or textile trade
•Knowledge of TDS and basic income tax compliance
•Experience with inventory and stock accounting
