Job Title: ABB 800xA / DCS Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for skilled DCS Automation Engineers with hands-on experience in ABB 800xA, Control Builder, HMI Development, DCS Application Logic, and/or Zenon Engineering. The selected candidates will be responsible for application engineering, HMI development, testing, documentation, and project execution activities for industrial automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and modify DCS application logic using ABB 800xA and Control Builder.
- Create, update, and configure HMI displays in ABB 800xA.
- Perform 800xA engineering and application development as per project requirements.
- Carry out Zenon engineering and HMI development activities, wherever applicable.
- Perform internal testing, validation, and integrated testing of developed applications.




- Troubleshoot and resolve application/HMI-related issues.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and engineering deliverables.
- Review engineering outputs and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Coordinate with ABB project/technical teams for requirements, reviews, testing, and deliverable acceptance.
- Provide regular project progress/status updates.
- Follow ABB project execution processes, quality standards, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Support project activities at ABB premises or other project-specific locations whenever required.

Mandatory Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with ABB 800xA
- Experience in Control Builder
- Experience in DCS Application Logic Development
- Experience in 800xA HMI Development / HMI Display Configuration
- Knowledge of DCS / Industrial Automation
- Experience in application testing and troubleshooting

Positive to Have
- Zenon Engineering experience
- Experience in HMI screen development
- Knowledge of industrial/process automation projects

Experience Criteria

Project Engineer

- 5+ years of overall relevant experience
- Strong experience in DCS/ABB 800xA project engineering

HMI Engineer





- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong experience in ABB 800xA HMI/display development

Zenon Engineer

- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience in Zenon Engineering

DCS Application Engineer

- 1 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience in DCS application logic development

Education
- BE / B. Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control & Automation, or related engineering discipline

Candidate Profile
- Strong technical knowledge of DCS and Industrial Automation
- Hands-on experience with ABB 800xA-based projects
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with project teams
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to work from ABB/project premises based on project requirements
