Qualifications
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving mail server, network, and related system issues.
• Experience working with databases used in mail systems (e.g., for user management, logging, and configuration storage).
• Background in infrastructure management, including server hardware, virtualization, networking, and security controls.
• Proficiency with operating systems commonly used for mail servers (such as Linux and Windows) and command-line administration.
• Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Windows-based mail environments or mixed OS mail server ecosystems.
• Knowledge of email protocols and standards (SMTP, IMAP, POP3, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and spam/virus filtering solutions.
• Ability to create clear documentation, follow change management processes, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience as a mail server or systems engineer in an enterprise workplace is highly beneficial.
