• Position Summary
Engineer or officer – Tactical Purchasing – is responsible for the reliable day-to-day execution of purchasing activities for assigned suppliers. The role manages supplier schedules, purchase orders, material follow-up, shortages, ERP/IFS transactions, master data, reporting, logistics coordination, and routine transaction closure. The position also supports supply-chain process improvement, reporting automation, digital tools, and practical AI-enabled improvements under the direction of the Sr. Tactical Manager.
• Key Responsibilities
Assigned Supplier and Schedule Management
• Independently manage assigned suppliers and maintain regular communication on schedules, acknowledgements, dispatches, and delivery status.
• Follow up material requirements and highlight delays, shortages, or exceptions promptly.
• Maintain accurate supplier commitments and open-action status.
Purchase Orders and ERP Transactions
• Release purchase orders and schedules against approved sources, prices, and terms.
• Complete ERP/IFS transactions, purchase requisition and purchase order updates, arrival registration, ASN follow-up, and assigned transaction closures.
• Escalate price, term, or commercial exceptions to the Sr. Tactical Manager without negotiating independently.
Material Availability and Shortage Follow-up
• Execute material follow-up based on ERP/MRP requirements and production priorities.
• Maintain the shortage tracker, follow up routine recovery actions, and provide accurate material
