Role-FIS PROFILE 7 CORE APPLICATION DEVELOPER Exp- 7+ Yrs Location-Bangalore Description: We are seeking an experienced FIS Profile 7 Core Banking Developer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the modernization and migration of a legacy core banking platform. The candidate will serve as the primary technical authority on Profile 7's architecture, data structures, application modules (DDA, Savings, WebClient, CSR, Teller), and operational workflows. This role is critical for accurately translating business logic, validating data integrity, and ensuring successful transition from FIS Profile 7 to Gen 3 cloud-native banking solutions. CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FIS Profile 7 Architecture & Modules Deep Technical Knowledge of Profile 7 Core Modules: DDA (Demand Deposit Accounts): Master account provisioning, transaction posting, overdraft handling, NSF logic, account reconciliation Savings: Interest calculation engines, regulatory compliance posting, minimum balance requirements, term deposit handling Data Architecture & Technical Depth Expert knowledge of Profile 7 file structures and data storage: Profile 7's proprietary data storage mechanisms Record type definitions, field layouts, and byte-level data structure documentation System-of-record hierarchies, account-party relationships, and cross-module data dependencies Legacy code table translations and enumeration mappings (status codes, transaction types, ledger codes) Business Rules & Processing Logic Comprehensive understanding of Profile 7 business logic: Interest accrual and posting schedules, regulatory rate compliance Overdraft and NSF fee application logic, exception handling Account reconciliation processes, month-end close procedures Dormancy and escheat rules, regulatory compliance workflows Charge-off logic, write-off procedures, and loan account lifecycle management Multi-currency and international transaction handling (if applicable) Data Migration & Integration Proven experience in core banking conversions: Data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) from Profile 7 source systems Source-to-target field mapping documentation and validation Data quality profiling, anomaly detection, and reconciliation methodologies Parallel run coordination, cutover planning, and post-migration validation API and integration point documentation for downstream systems (payments, lending, risk, etc.) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Source System Analysis & Documentation Serve as the authoritative expert on FIS Profile 7, including all core modules and supporting systems Document Profile 7 data definitions, file layouts, record structures, and system dependencies Create detailed technical specifications for WebClient workflows, CSR operations,



and Teller transactions Analyze and document system-of-record hierarchies and cross-module dependencies (account-party-transaction relationships) Interpret and explain Profile 7's embedded business rules for transformation specification development Maintain comprehensive documentation library for team reference throughout migration 2. Data Mapping & Transformation Support Collaborate with data architects to produce field-level source-to-target mapping documents Advise on data type conversions, handling of binary/packed-decimal fields, and code table translations Identify and document Profile 7-specific data quality issues, including null handling and referential integrity gaps Validate transformation logic against Profile 7 business rules to ensure accuracy in ETL pipelines Review and approve mapping specifications for all modules (DDA, Savings, WebClient, CSR, Teller) Identify legacy data artifacts that require special handling or manual remediation 3. Data Quality, Testing & Validation Define acceptance criteria for source data extracts (record counts, balancing totals, key field validations) Design test cases that verify migrated data integrity against Profile 7 source records Lead reconciliation efforts between Profile 7 and target system balances (GL, account balances, transaction histories) Investigate reconciliation breaks and data anomalies discovered during dress rehearsals and cutover Validate correctness of interest calculations, fee postings, and other automated processing in target system Create detailed reconciliation runbooks and exception resolution procedures 4. Pipeline Design & Build Support Advise on optimal extraction strategies from Profile 7 (batch exports) Support design of data pipeline architecture, including load sequencing and dependency management Review extract scripts, transformation code, and load procedures for alignment with Profile 7 semantics Advise on handling of Profile 7-specific date formats, account numbering schemes, and ledger structures Provide input on performance optimization and bulk loading strategies 5. Stakeholder Engagement & Knowledge Transfer Act as translator between legacy operations teams and modern platform architects Participate in design workshops, sprint planning,



and technical working sessions Produce transparent technical documentation suitable for both technical and business audiences Mentor team members on Profile 7 architecture and operational concepts Provide real-time support for ad hoc technical questions and escalation resolution REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with FIS Profile 7 in production banking environments Deep technical knowledge of at least 4 of the following modules: DDA, Savings, WebClient, CSR, Teller, GL, Lending Proven experience with core banking data migration, system conversion, or parallel run activities (Profile 7 as source or target) Expert-level understanding of Profile 7 data storage mechanisms Hands-on experience creating data mapping specifications and transformation logic documentation Strong analytical skills with ability to investigate complex data discrepancies and business logic issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to document complex legacy systems clearly PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience with Gen 3 / cloud-native core banking platforms (Thought Machine Vault, Mambu, Temenos, Alkami, etc.) In-depth knowledge of banking regulatory requirements (HMDA, CRA, AML, call reports, Reg E/D/Z) Background in community banking, credit unions, or regional banking environments where Profile 7 is prevalent Prior consulting or contracting experience on large-scale banking system conversion programs Experience with API and integration architecture for downstream systems (payments, lending, risk, settlement) Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, Talend, dbt, etc.) Knowledge of data profiling and quality tools ( Informatica Data Quality, etc.) Experience with agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery models TECHNICAL SKILLS MATRIX Skill Category Expected Proficiency
