JOB DESCRIPTION PRODUCTION MANAGER
Department: Production | Industry: Automotive / Auto Ancillary
Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma Mechanical / Automobile / Production
Experience: 5-8 Years in Automotive / Manufacturing Industry
JOB PURPOSE
To manage complete production operations and ensure achievement of Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Productivity and Safety targets through effective manpower, machine and process management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan and execute daily, weekly and monthly production as per customer requirements.
- Ensure achievement of production targets, delivery schedules and line efficiency.
- Manage and optimize manpower, machines, materials and production capacity.
- Lead Production Engineers, Supervisors, Line Leaders and Operators.
- Monitor and improve OEE, productivity, cycle time, line balancing and machine utilization.
- Control rejection, rework, scrap and process losses in coordination with Quality.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, Poka-Yoke and continuous improvement activities.
- Coordinate with Quality, PPC, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, Tool Room, R&D; and Dispatch departments.
- Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, Work Instructions, Process Standards and Safety Procedures.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance and breakdown reduction.
- Support new product development, prototype, trials and production launch.
- Identify production problems,



conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Drive cost reduction, waste reduction and productivity improvement projects.
- Conduct regular shop-floor inspections, 5S audits and performance reviews.
- Prepare and review Production MIS, rejection, downtime, productivity and target-achievement reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, PPE, quality and company policies.
