Owns license engine architecture, publisher/normalisation data quality, and SAM to CMDB reconciliation. License engine misconfiguration carries direct commercial and audit exposure, so this needs a licensing literate architect, not a platform generalist.
Key Responsibilities:Own license model configuration and governanceDesign and maintain the SAM Pro data pipelineOwn reconciliation reporting design and its accuracyMaintain audit readiness architecture ahead of publisher true upsPartner with procurement and vendor management on entitlement data qualityOwn the technical relationship between SAM Pro and CMDB/CSDM dataRepresent SAM at architecture review boards where licensing risk is relevant
Required Skills & Experience:
ServiceNow CIS Discovery and/or CIS Event ManagementServiceNow CIS SAM,
or equivalent hands on SAM Pro implementation experienceSoftware licensing and contract literacyExperience with publisher/normalisation data quality issuesUnderstanding of audit and compliance exposure created by license engine misconfigurationComfortable working directly with procurement/vendor management stakeholders
Desired Skills:
Specific licensing metric experience with major publishers (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM)Prior involvement in a licensing true up or audit defence
