Job Summary

The Associate, Underwriting Services serves MIS clients by executing routine, easy processing tasks related to underwriting. Communicating with clients via email, this role serves as a lead processor for a small number of low complexity client accounts, escalating any mid-to high-level complexity issues to supervisor, as they build their knowledge of underwriting.

Principal Responsibilities

Processing Underwriting Support Tasks

• Working under the director of supervisor, processes tasks related to underwriting and policy processing functions.
• Follows established processes and procedures to complete routine tasks related to policies, binders, endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and final audit transactions.
• Exercise problem solving skills to resolve problems with low complexity. Escalate mid-to-high level complexity to supervisor.

Client Service and Communication

• Receives and handles client requests via inbound email. Serves as a lead for client accounts that are smaller and/or low in complexity.
• Respond promptly to client needs,



maintaining a high level of professionalism and ensuring a positive client experience.
• Answers questions professionally and assists clients by completing a task or process for them

Teamwork and Collaboration

• Collaborates with co-workers and supervisors to meet client needs and contribute to achievement of internal team goals.
• Looks for prospects to improve processes to better support client and build knowledge and expertise in underwriting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree - Bachelors
• Working Experience - 1 to 2 years’ experience in Underwriting
