Role & Responsibilities
Perform general surgical procedures including hernia repairs, appendectomies, and trauma interventions with precision and efficiency.
Deliver comprehensive gynaecological care—conducting routine screenings, managing high-risk pregnancies, and performing obstetric and gynaecological surgeries.
Lead pre- and post-operative care, ensuring patient education, informed consent, and recovery planning.
Collaborate with anaesthetists, nurses, and allied health staff to coordinate seamless surgical workflows and emergency responses.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, comply with hospital protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.




Mentor junior doctors and interns, promoting a culture of continuous learning and patient-centric care.

Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
MBBS with MS (General Surgery)
DNB/DGO or equivalent in Gynaecology & Obstetrics
Current NMC registration
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in surgical and gynaecological practice
Proficiency in laparoscopic and open surgical techniques
Experience in managing obstetric emergencies and high-risk deliveries
Preferred
Experience in rural or semi-urban healthcare settings
Membership in surgical or gynaecological associations (e.g., AIIMS, FOGSI)
Ability to lead clinical audits or protocol development
