About the Role
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II (Backend) to design, build, and maintain reliable backend services and data-intensive applications. You will work on Python-based services, databases, and data pipelines while collaborating with engineering partners to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions.
What You’ll Do
•
Design, develop, test,
and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
•
Build and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and processing.
•
Work with MySQL, Hive, Trino, and Apache Spark to support data storage, querying, and processing requirements.
•
Improve service reliability, performance, and scalability through thoughtful design and troubleshooting.
•
Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders on technical design, code reviews, and delivery.
•
Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to engineering best practices.
What We’re Looking For
•
3+ years of qualified software development experience, with a focus on backend engineering.
•
Robust proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Django.
•
Working knowledge of MySQL and experience with Hive, Trino, and Spark for data querying and processing.
•
Practical experience developing or maintaining data pipelines.
