Overview
Nomura has implemented a third-party technology solution in the EMEA region to support Regulatory Horizon
Scanning for the Wholesale business. The technology solution is used to identify regulatory change alerts from
selected external sources, maps these alerts to internal SMEs via a topic taxonomy and then drives a highlevel,
directed workflow process across functions and through the stages of impact assessment and
implementation. The role will sit in the Regulatory Horizon Tracking part of the Corporate Governance team
within the Legal and Compliance (L&C;) division.
Key objectives critical to success
• The Manager shall be the prime administrator for the Regulatory Horizon Scanning system (the
‘System’) and will be accountable for the implementation and day-to-day running of the system,
ensuring production issues are escalated and that root -cause analysis is performed to improve long
term system functionality
• Managing technical aspects of the System, including maintenance of the topic taxonomy mapping to
SMEs, on- and off-boarding of users,



providing initial training support, configuration support for user
dashboards and management information, and liaison with the System provider (the ‘Provider’) for any
system upgrades, releases or issues.
• Primary conduit of the Nomura relationship team with the Provider, ensuring a constant communication
channel with Corlytics and their recent third-party subcontractor, HubSpot, who track and monitor
system issues
• Production of regular management information from the System, including the production of papers for
internal governance forums.
• Liaison with Nomura colleagues across various departments, regarding their respective aspects of
Regulatory Horizon Scanning ownership
• Liaison with other Global Nomura Regions in respect of the System.
