Position: Head Chef – Café

Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹55,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to manage the kitchen operations of our café in Jaipur. The candidate will be responsible for menu planning, food quality, kitchen team management, inventory, food costing and maintaining hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete day-to-day kitchen operations of the café.
Lead, train and supervise chefs, cooks and kitchen helpers.
Plan and develop café-style menus, including snacks, breakfast, sandwiches, pasta, pizza, burgers, salads, desserts, etc.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, presentation and portion sizes.
Develop and standardize recipes and plating.
Monitor food cost, portion control and minimize food wastage.
Manage inventory, stock-taking, purchasing and proper storage of ingredients.
Coordinate with vendors for quality raw materials.
Ensure proper food hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards.
Manage kitchen staff shifts and daily work allocation.




Ensure timely preparation and service during peak café hours.
Handle customer feedback related to food quality.
Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper cleaning and maintenance.
Maintain FIFO/FEFO and proper food storage practices.

Candidate Requirements
5+ years of experience in a café, QSR, restaurant or similar food-service workplace.
Previous experience as Head Chef / Sous Chef / Senior Chef preferred.
Strong knowledge of café and continental cuisine.
Experience with menu development and recipe standardization.
Good knowledge of food costing and inventory management.
Robust leadership and team-management skills.
Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.
Creative, hands-on and able to work in a fast-paced café setting.
Culinary qualification/diploma will be an added advantage.

Salary

₹35,000 – ₹55,000 per month, depending on experience and skills.
