Sanskrit Teacher
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Sanskrit Teacher to teach Sanskrit language, grammar, literature, and Indian culture to students. The ideal candidate should have proven teaching experience, robust subject knowledge, and the ability to create an engaging and effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver Sanskrit lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
Teach Sanskrit grammar, vocabulary, prose, poetry, literature, and comprehension.
Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and learning materials.
Use effective and cutting-edge teaching methods to improve student understanding.
Assess students through examinations, tests, assignments, and classroom activities.
Monitor and evaluate students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
Provide additional support to students who require academic assistance.
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Integrate appropriate digital tools and teaching resources into classroom instruction.
Maintain student attendance, assessment records, and academic documentation.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding students’ academic performance and development.
Participate in staff meetings, school events,
examinations, and extracurricular activities.
Contribute to curriculum planning and other academic activities of the school.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sanskrit or a related discipline.
B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant teaching experience in Sanskrit.
Strong knowledge of Sanskrit grammar, literature, and pronunciation.
Experience teaching students at school level.
Good communication, classroom-management, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
Excellent command of Sanskrit and English.
Ability to teach students using interactive and student-centered methods.
Strong lesson-planning and assessment skills.
Ability to motivate students and develop their interest in Sanskrit.
Familiarity with digital classroom tools and educational technology.
Positive organizational and time-management skills.
Experience
2–5 years of experience as a Sanskrit Teacher in a recognized school or educational institution is preferred. Candidates with higher relevant experience may be considered for senior teaching responsibilities.
