Key Responsibilities

· Own the payroll process from receipt of validated HR inputs through payroll closure and post-payroll reconciliation.

· Validate attendance, leave, late coming, overtime/comp-off, recent joiners, exits, salary revisions and other payroll inputs.

· Ensure accurate calculation and processing of salary, deductions, statutory contributions and applicable benefits.

· Coordinate EPF, ESI, Qualified Tax, TDS, statutory bonus, gratuity-related data and other applicable payroll compliance requirements.

· Prepare payroll reports, reconciliation statements and variance analysis.

· Coordinate with Finance for salary processing, payroll funding and accounting-related requirements.

· Maintain accurate payroll master data and employee compensation records in the HRMS/payroll system.

· Coordinate with HR for employee code creation, salary structure changes, promotions, transfers and exits.

· Handle payroll-related employee queries and provide accurate clarification within defined timelines.

· Support statutory filings, challans, notices,



inspections and audit requirements in coordination with HR/Finance and external consultants.

· Maintain payroll calendars and ensure statutory and management deadlines are met.

· Maintain confidentiality and security of salary and personal employee information.

· Identify payroll errors, investigate root causes and implement corrective actions.

· Support payroll system implementation, automation and process improvements, including GreytHR.

Qualifications & Experience

· Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, HR, Finance or related discipline.

· 5–8 years of payroll experience, preferably in a high-volume workforce setting.

· Strong knowledge of Indian payroll, EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS, bonus and gratuity processes.

· Advanced MS Excel and hands-on HRMS/payroll software experience; GreytHR preferred.

· High attention to detail, confidentiality, reconciliation and deadline management.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
