Senior Director, Digital Technology APAC

Position Summary

The Senior Director, APAC Digital Technology is responsible for leading digital technology strategy, delivery, and operations across the APAC region. This role ensures regional digital platforms and solutions align with global architecture, standards, and product strategies while meeting local market, regulatory, and operational needs. The Senior Director partners closely with Global Technology, Product, Operations, and Regional Business leaders to drive scalable, secure, and reliable digital experiences for customers, franchisees, and internal users across APAC markets.

Essential Functions

Regional Digital Strategy & Leadership

- Own and execute the APAC digital technology strategy in alignment with global digital and enterprise technology roadmaps
- Serve as the senior technology leader for APAC, providing strategic guidance and regional representation in global forums
- Balance global standardization with regional flexibility to meet local market and regulatory requirements
- Drive digital modernization initiatives across APAC platforms, applications, and services

Delivery & Platform Oversight

- Oversee delivery and operation of digital platforms supporting customer‑facing, franchise, and internal experiences
- Ensure regional systems and solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and compliant
- Partner with global product, platform, and engineering teams to deliver regionally aligned solutions
- Manage delivery across multiple APAC markets, vendors, and technology partners





Cross‑Functional & Regional Partnership

- Partner with APAC business, operations, franchise, and corporate teams to understand regional priorities and needs
- Collaborate closely with Global Product, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams
- Act as a key escalation point for regional technology risks, delivery issues, or operational incidents
- Communicate regional progress, risks, and needs to global executive leadership

Governance, Risk & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with regional regulations, data privacy requirements, and security standards
- Partner with Legal, Security, and Compliance teams to manage regional technology risk
- Enforce global architecture, security, and operational standards while enabling regional execution

Vendor & Financial Management

- Oversee regional technology vendors, system integrators, and partners
- Manage regional digital technology budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization
- Support vendor strategy, contract oversight, and performance management

Team Leadership

- Lead and develop regional digital technology leaders and teams
- Set clear performance expectations, goals, and development plans
- Foster a culture of accountability,



collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Support talent development and succession planning across APAC technology teams

Performance & Optimization

- Own key regional performance metrics including delivery reliability, platform stability, and adoption
- Continuously assess and improve digital capabilities to support growth and operational excellence
- Provide regular performance updates and strategic insights to executive stakeholders

Skills and Abilities Required

- Strong experience leading digital technology at regional or enterprise scale
- Deep understanding of contemporary digital platforms, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems
- Proven ability to operate within global matrixed organizations
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance regional needs and global standards
- Experience managing complex vendors and multi‑market delivery
- Demonstrated people leadership and executive stakeholder management
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence

Education

- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience

- 12–15+ years of experience in technology, digital platforms, or engineering leadership roles
- 5+ years of experience leading regional or enterprise‑scale technology organizations
- Experience supporting APAC markets across multiple countries and regulatory environments
- Retail, restaurant, franchise, or consumer‑facing digital experience strongly preferred
