Teaching Assistants Required - Primary & Secondary ARP Settings | Sandwell
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with SEN experience, or looking to develop your career within specialist education?
I am currently working with a number of Primary and Secondary schools across Sandwell that have specialist Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs) supporting pupils with a range of needs including:

- Autism (ASC)
- Speech, Language andmunication Needs (SLCN)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
These schools are seeking dedicated, patient and resilient Teaching Assistants to support pupils on both a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them access learning, develop independence and achieve their potential.
The Role
You may be required to:
- Support pupils within ARP classrooms and mainstream lessons
- Deliver tailored interventions and adapted learning activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Supportmunication and social development
- Work closely with teachers, SENDCos and external professionals
- Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
- Ideally,



experience supporting pupils with additional needs within a school, ARP, specialist provision, care or support setting
- Experience within schools, specialist settings, care, support work or youth work
- A patient, nurturing and versatile approach
- Strongmunication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
